Competition Information

This invitation is extended to our diving friends from Asia and the Pacific Rim to attend a new event for Junior Divers in 2009. The Wellington High Performance Aquatics Academy is looking at running this event biennially and this being the inaugural year we are inviting:

• National Federations to send representative teams.
• Each State of Australia to send a team.
• We will also consider accpeting Clubs teams on application.

Competition Format

This competition is for 16-18 years, 14-15 years, 13 & Under years, 2 divers per team per event.

Events

• 1 metre and 3 metre Springboard
• Platform
• Junior Open Girls 3 metre synchro
• Junior Open Boys 3 metre synchro

A 'Knockout Gala' is also proposed. The competition will be conducted in accordance with FINA rules.

Awards

• Best Male Diver at the Competition
• Best Female Diver at the Competition
• Medals will be awarded to podium spots in each event

Judging

Each team to bring at least one judge.

Registration Entry Fee

$NZ300 for teams up to 5, $NZ450 for teams of 6 or more divers.

14-15 December 2009

Venue

The Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre (2x1 metre maxiflex C, 2x3 metre maxiflex C, Platform 10m: 7.5m: 5m, Water temperature 28C).

Closest Airport

Wellington International Airport, 10minutes from the Aquatic Centre, 20 minutes from Wellington City.

Accommodation

Brentwood Hotel - 5 minutes walk from the Aquatic Centre. Booking will be arranged through the Organising Committee of the event.
The tariff will include continental breakfast, buffet lunch and buffer dinner.

• 2 persons per room: $NZ145.00 per person
• 3 persons per room: $NZ120.00 per person
• 4 persons per room: $NZ112.00 per person

The Organising Committee will pay the tariff for the first 3 athletes and one official per team for the nights of 16th, 17th and 18th of December 2009.
